Lots has been going on this week at Casa Apostle, and it's only Wednesday! It has been such a fun week for us though, amidst all the busyness. Something we've never minded :)
Drywall for the basement!! Super exciting progress to see, finally! This is looking at the bar and poker table area (on the right where the whiskey barrel sink is sitting) from the stairway.
Spring has sprung! Well don't mind the snow in the background, winter's last ditch effort here :) My bulbs are beautiful this year - and some of them have spread, yay! And Kate and I planted bunches of flowers in pots Sunday which make the porch look much more cheery.
My aunt Sarah and uncle Fred came out to spend a day with us while in Denver for a conference. We had so much fun together!! Thank you to Mike for staying up all day and getting three hours of sleep before his night shift....we were all so glad to have him hanging with us!
Because of the snow and rain that day, our outdoor plans to hike and walk around were cancelled! We went to Odell's Brewing Co. for a brewery tour and some samples (for the boys - Sarah and I agreed that several samples tasted like "dirt & grass" :)). It was a fun thing to do, something Fort Collins is known for, and a great chance to just sit and chat!
This is the four of us after Nordy's!! Mmmm, an Apostle fave. We also had lunch and shopping in Old Town, which was great. Thank you guys for coming. Sarah, you made the blog!! :)
And last night we joined our friends for a fundraiser for Animal House rescue which they called "Martinis for Mutts." It was so cute! Tons of pictures of adoptable dogs, appetizers, martinis of course, and a silent auction (I bid on and won a massage!). We had such a great time!!
Dee Dee is finally here! Brandi's sister just moved up here from Houston (you may remember the blog post from our girls weekend to see her in H-town). We are so excited to have her here!!
