Halloween this year was a total blast! Last year Brady was only 5 months old and while he was a cute little cow, he wasn't interactive at all with the festivities. This year he was very interested in the candy collecting and surprisingly left his costume on without a fuss. He won't usually leave hats on so I was surprised he didn't pull his hood off. I made his SCUBA costume this year after getting a wild hair to try it from a Pinterest post. I think it turned out really cute on him, although multiple times during the crafting-process I swore to never again make a costume for him. I'm really not that crafty, what was I thinking?? Anyway - this year was a one-and-only DIY success. (In case you are wondering, I used black sweatpants + hoodie, a velcro belt with red felt squares cut out to look like a weight belt, cut flippers out of duct-tape paper and black electrical tape to secure them to his shoes. And then I spray painted a 1L plastic bottle for his o2 tank and attached rubber tubing to a black piece of plumbing pipe with a binky glued to the inside for his regulator. He preferred his untethered binky but left the regulator hanging over his shoulder just fine.)
Halloween morning we got all dressed up and went to Old Town for their Tiny Tots Trick or Treating with the Huntingtons. It was super crowded but we had a great time wandering store to store collecting candy.
Jen - who is super crafty - also made her kiddos costumes. Eliot was a werewolf & Cora was an octopus! They were adorable!

I loooooved our fall this year. The leaves are usually long gone by Halloween but this year hung on for longer than usual & were beautiful this morning.
After naps that afternoon, we carved our jack-o-lanterns together. It was B's first time & he was a total pro at picking out the seeds & slime.
His pumpkin had a binky since he's binky-obsessed!
Sharing smarties with his girlfriend.
We did trick-or-treating that night on our street (one year olds only make it one street!)...
Enjoying the fruits of his labor before bed. What a perfect Halloween!!
