They did it!! Saturday April 29th, Mike, Noa and Rob ran their first marathon!! Along with Rob's friend Roly, who had run in several marathons. The guys did great, their diligent training paid off and they actually seemed to enjoy their 26 miles (okay, for the most part). Of course they were sore afterwards, but they didn't suffer any significant injuries and recovered quickly - thanks to a little IV fluid! Lindsey (Rob's wife and my friend) and I were among the spectators (Julie couldn't go - her graduation was the same weekend - SAD.) and we enjoyed walking around Nashville, waiting at certain mileage points to wave at our boys and cheer them on. We spent the rest of the weekend exploring Nashville - went to a country music concert, ate at a great local restaraunt, toured the Jack Daniel's Distillery, watched movies in the hotel room. It was a great weekend away for all of us - and we were so happy to be celebrating the marathon success after much hard work on their parts.
Way to go, guys! We're all so proud of you!!
